Junior National Champion inspiring the next generation
In August, 16 year old Lowri (Lou) Boorman from Pembrokeshire became the UK Female Topper sailboat national champion. In a very competitive mixed gender fleet of 223 boats she was 5th overall and beat 75 other girls. The result was a very just reward for 5 years of sailing and travelling throughout the UK. Holyhead youngsters set sail
Over the weekend, 17 youngsters have been making waves on their doorstep in Holyhead harbour. The youngsters got the chance to take part in a day of sailing taster sessions, giving each of them an introduction to the water and the exciting sport of sailing.
